JR元町駅から徒歩15分。街の喧騒から少し距離を置いた、テナントビル4階に計画したアイラッシュサロンの改装プロジェクトです。約48㎡（14.5坪）の空間を、訪れた人が自然と気持ちを緩められる、静かでやわらかな場所へと整えました。
エレベーターを降り、扉の前に立ったときに感じる空気感も、この空間の大切な体験のひとつです。店名「BECK」の頭文字である“B”をモチーフにした入口ドアは、直線をできるだけ排し、曲線で構成。淡いベージュの塗装と真鍮のハンドルが、強すぎない上品さとやさしさを添えています。入る前から安心できる、そんな入口を意識しました。
店内は、やわらかなカーテンでゆるやかに仕切られたレイアウトとしています。壁で完全に区切るのではなく、光や気配がほんのり伝わる距離感にすることで、閉塞感を抑えながらもプライバシーはしっかり確保。施術を受ける時間が、外の世界から少しだけ切り離されるような感覚を大切にしました。
照明は全体的にトーンを落とし、必要な場所にだけやさしく光を落とす構成としています。鏡まわりの柔らかな光や、間接的に広がる明かりが、緊張をほどいてくれるような空気をつくり出します。施術中にふと力が抜けてしまうような、そんな穏やかな時間をイメージしています。
素材選びにおいても、触れたときの印象を大切にしました。マットな質感の壁やファブリック、真鍮の少しだけ温かみのある光沢。それぞれが主張しすぎることなく重なり合い、空間全体にやさしい余韻を残します。
アイラッシュサロンは、技術だけでなく「どれだけ安心して身を預けられるか」が重要な場所だと考えています。そのため、視覚的な美しさだけでなく、身体感覚としての心地良さにも丁寧に向き合いました。

Located a 15-minute walk from JR Motomachi Station, this project is a renovation of an eyelash salon situated on the fourth floor of a multi-tenant building, slightly removed from the bustle of the city. Within a compact 48㎡ (approx. 517 sq ft) space, the design aims to create a calm and gentle environment where visitors can naturally relax upon arrival.
The experience begins the moment one steps off the elevator and approaches the entrance. The door, inspired by the letter “B” from the salon name “BECK,” is composed with soft curves rather than straight lines. Finished in a pale beige tone and paired with brass hardware, it expresses a quiet elegance and warmth. The intention was to create a sense of reassurance even before entering the space.
Inside, the layout is loosely divided by soft curtains. Rather than fully enclosing each area with walls, the design allows light and subtle presence to pass through, maintaining privacy while avoiding a sense of confinement. This approach creates a gentle separation from the outside world, allowing clients to ease into a more personal, restful state during treatment.
Lighting is intentionally subdued, with illumination placed only where necessary. Soft light around the mirrors and indirect ambient lighting work together to create a calming atmosphere that naturally releases tension. The space is designed to support moments where one can simply let go and relax.
Material selection also focuses on tactile experience. Matte-textured walls and fabrics, combined with the soft sheen of brass, create a layered yet understated palette. Each element contributes quietly, leaving a gentle and cohesive impression throughout the space.
An eyelash salon is not only about technique, but about how comfortably one can entrust themselves to the experience. This project approaches design from both a visual and sensory perspective, carefully shaping an environment that supports a sense of ease, trust, and calm.
