大阪市・JR放出駅から徒歩10分圏内にオープンしたカフェダイニング。
地上2階建ての建物の1階部分、約50㎡を改装し、地域に根ざした新しい憩いの場をつくりました。
提供するのは、ボリュームたっぷりのハンバーガーやスパイスの香るカレー、ヘルシーなアサイボウル。
そしてオーナーこだわりのハンドドリップによるスペシャリティコーヒー。
年齢を問わず気軽に立ち寄れる、明るく開放的なお店を目指して計画が始まりました。
打ち合わせの中で特に印象的だったのは、ご夫婦の「地域に開かれた、誰もが入りやすいお店にしたい」という想い。
その願いは完成した空間にしっかりと息づいています。
ランチを楽しむ家族、ひとりで本を読みながらコーヒーを味わう常連客。
幅広い世代が自然に集い、思い思いに過ごす姿が日常となりました。
設計では、将来的に2階を焙煎室やギャラリーとして活用する可能性を見据え、キッチンは少し大きめに計画。
セミクローズド型とし、動きやすさと居心地のよさを両立しました。
内装はモルタルをベースに、ビンテージウッドや白壁、木製家具、ステンレスを組み合わせ、無機質に寄りすぎない柔らかさを演出しています。
ファサードは白を基調に清潔感を持たせ、外壁に手描きのサインを添えることで親しみやすさをプラス。
過度に「おしゃれすぎる」印象を避け、誰でも気軽に扉を開けられる雰囲気を大切にしました。
今回は予算の都合で2階の施工は見送りましたが、未来への可能性はしっかり残されています。
焙煎室やギャラリーが加わり、ご夫婦の描くビジョンが形になっていく過程も、このお店の魅力のひとつ。
地域に根ざし、長く愛される場となることを願っています。

This café dining space, located within a 10-minute walk from JR Hōdate Station in Osaka, was created by renovating the first floor of a two-story building (approx. 50㎡). The menu features hearty burgers, flavorful curries, refreshing açaí bowls, and hand-dripped specialty coffee carefully brewed by the owner. The concept was clear: to create a bright, welcoming space where people of all ages can casually stop by.
What impressed us most during discussions with the owners was their strong wish: “We want a place open to the community, where anyone feels comfortable walking in.” Today, that vision has become reality. Families gather for lunch, regulars read books over coffee, and people of different generations naturally share the same space in comfort.
With the future in mind, we designed a slightly larger kitchen, anticipating the second floor’s future use as a roasting room or gallery. A semi-closed layout ensures both efficiency and comfort. The interior blends mortar with vintage wood, white walls, wooden furniture, and stainless steel, balancing an industrial touch with warmth.
The façade, finished in clean white, is accented with hand-painted signage to convey friendliness. We avoided an overly “stylish” appearance to ensure a casual, approachable atmosphere where anyone feels welcome.
Although the second floor renovation was postponed due to budget, the potential remains. The future addition of a roasting room or gallery will further shape the owners’ vision, making this café not only a local gathering spot but also a growing story of community and design.
